Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions about Matrox solutions

Who is the official Matrox Video distributor in Slovenia and Croatia?

Video Sistemi d.o.o., based in Kranj, Slovenia, has been the official Matrox Video distributor for the Balkan region since 1996. We advise on equipment selection, supply it and provide technical support to integrators and end customers in Slovenia, Croatia and the region.

Which Matrox solutions do you offer?

The complete current Matrox Video portfolio: IP KVM (Extio 3, Avio 2), encoders and converters (ConvertIP, Maevex, Monarch EDGE), video walls (Mura DVW, Mura IPX, LUMA Pro, QuadHead2Go), IP video gateways (Vion), NMOS routing (ConductIP), broadcast developer cards and accessories.

What is IPMX and which Matrox devices support it?

IPMX is an open standard for transporting audio and video over IP networks for professional AV, built on SMPTE ST 2110 and NMOS. At Matrox it is supported by ConvertIP, Avio 2, Vion and Maevex MGX, among others, while ConductIP manages the network.

Can you connect Matrox to an LED display?

Yes. Matrox devices such as Mura DVW, LUMA Pro or ConvertIP send the image to the LED display controller via HDMI, DisplayPort or SDI. Video Sistemi also manufactures and installs LED displays, so we design and commission the entire system from source to LED display ourselves.

What is IP KVM and where is it used?

IP KVM carries a computer's video, keyboard and mouse over the network so an operator can control remote computers from their workstation. It is used in control and dispatch centres, broadcast, industry and the public sector. Matrox offers the Extio 3 and Avio 2 IP KVM systems.

Do you also sell Matrox equipment to integrators?

Yes. We supply Matrox equipment to system integrators and end customers and help with equipment selection, system design and commissioning.

Where can I get drivers and software for Matrox products?

Drivers and software are available on the official Matrox Video website (video.matrox.com, Drivers & Software). Our technical support helps with installation and upgrades.
